Grays Transport (Derbyshire) Ltd, a family-run logistics company based in Ripley, Derbyshire, has significantly expanded its operations thanks to a new invoice factoring facility arranged by Evolve Business Finance.
Specialising in furniture transportation from manufacturers to retailers for over 25 years, Grays Transport ensures smooth and timely deliveries across the country. The company operates a fleet of over 60 vehicles and trailers and provides seamless inventory management from its 101,000 sq. ft. warehouse, complete with a comprehensive barcoding system for end-to-end item tracking.
Since its inception, Grays Transport has experienced substantial growth. Pre-COVID, the business employed 24 staff, but in the last four years, this number has grown to over 80, with a turnover exceeding £4 million. The company’s previous lender was unable to support this rapid expansion, leading Jen Evans, Grays Transport’s managing director, to seek assistance from Evolve Business Finance in finding a new invoice factoring provider.
After speaking with Stefan Radymski, Evolve Business Finance’s director, Jen Evans was able to secure a new invoice factoring facility with a lender that could provide the necessary support for the company’s continued growth and cash flow needs.
AHaving Stef on our side is invaluable. In the time that we’ve been working together, he has demonstrated a deep understanding of our needs, translated them into financial language and come up with a number of great solutions. Stef is highly knowledgeable, approachable, and always goes the extra mile for his clients. He even introduced us to a new accountant who has been a tremendous asset to our business.
Jen Evans, Grays Transport’s managing directorAGrays Transport is a leader in its field and real specialists in the furniture logistics space – which means customer satisfaction scores are amongst the highest in the market, particularly because of the tracking technology it uses. When Jen first approached me, I was very impressed by what the business offered and obviously wanted to help with the investment it needed.
