Meet the Lender: Abbie Mosley, Time Finance

In this month’s Meet the Lender we catch up with Abbie Mosley, senior broker manager at Time Finance to talk about the growing demand for refinancing, what businesses should consider when seeking funding for the first time and how technology may change the lending market. We also find out where Abbie’s sales career began – and it wasn’t quite where you might expect!

What trends are you currently seeing in the market?

We’ve seen a really positive 2026 in the asset finance market thus far. Customers seem to be putting a lot of thought into their buying plans for the year ahead.

We’re also seeing an increase in refinance requests at the moment. Some companies are looking to restructure existing debt to reduce outgoings and allow for further growth and investment. For companies with unencumbered assets that hold good value, refinancing can also be a great way to release capital back into the business through those assets.

What advice would you give to businesses seeking finance for the first time?

Seeking finance for the first time may feel overwhelming for any business. I’d say developing a good relationship with a finance broker is key. Finding a broker who understands your business and funding goals is critical to making sure you’re matched with the right finance solutions.

How do you see the lending market changing over the next few years?

I think the lending market has changed a lot in the last five years and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, especially with the development of technology and how lenders and brokers choose to use it in their processes.

The world we’re in is constantly changing and it’s important that the finance industry can adapt quickly.

What motivates you personally in your work as a lender?

I really enjoy working for a lender in the SME market. I get to work with a number of different introducers, which means I can help a wide range of companies, from start-ups looking to purchase their first asset to well-established businesses looking to grow further.

Making a positive difference to companies of all shapes and sizes is highly motivating.

How long have you been working with Evolve Business Finance and how has the relationship benefited your business?

Time Finance has been working with Evolve for a while now and we have a good relationship with the team through our invoice finance division. On the asset finance side of the business, it’s a newer relationship but one that’s developing well following a number of successful deals.

Evolve is a valued introducer to Time Finance and I see them as a broker we’ll continue to work closely with, especially as we look to develop our multi-product offering. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

And finally, what’s something about you that might surprise people?

My first job was selling burgers from a burger van at football stadiums. Some would say my sales career has developed quite a lot since then!
